Job summary

Senior Helpers Las Vegas is seeking caring caregivers to support at‑home clients. The role involves providing non‑medical assistance, engaging clients in social activities, assisting with daily living tasks, and communicating client needs to families and supervisors.

We welcome applicants with PCA/CNA/Home Health Aide background or those willing to train. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean background are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
• 1 year of field experience as a PCA, CNA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but training is provided.
• Must pass State and Federal background check and drug screen.
• Must have current TB and physical.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• 2 personal and 2 professional references required.
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Have conversations with clients to build relationships.
• Engage clients in hobbies and daily activities.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Assist with walking, dressing, and activities of daily living.
• Report activities and client condition to supervisor.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrap booking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior

Caregiver Qualifications:

• Must have a driver's license, valid auto insurance, your own reliable transportation, clean driving record and willingness to drive a reasonable distance. Must take vehicle to shift in case client needs transportation
• 1 year of field experience as a PCA, CNA or Home Health Aide is preferred but we will train the right candidates
• Must be able to pass State and Federal background check & drug screen
• Must have current TB and physical prior to beginning work with us (We are running a hire bonus to help with costs)
• Must obtain CPR & First aid certifications
• Must provide 2 personal and 2 professional references
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to learn new skills to better the lives of our clients
• Proficient communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as assigned
