A leading senior care provider in Hockessin, Delaware is seeking a Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities and ensure their comfort and safety. Responsibilities include providing personal care, housekeeping duties, and organizing activities. The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma, complete a personal care aide program, and communicate effectively. Qualifications

  • Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Organized and able to work well with personnel.
  • Polite and considerate to residents and co-workers.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs; safely lift and transfer residents.
  • CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
  • Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality care and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Assist residents with move-in transitions.
  • Respond to resident calls for assistance.
  • Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
  • Assists residents to and from dining rooms and activities.
  • Reports resident status and any concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Provides emotional support during move-in transitions for new residents.
