Job summary

St. Paul’s PACE Nemeth - El Cajon is a full-time Day Center position in El Cajon, CA. Hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, supporting participants with daily living activities and health monitoring.

The role requires a California CNA, CPR/BLS, and First Aid certification, plus at least one year of experience with frail or elderly populations. A caring, safe environment is our priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in California is required.
• CPR (BLS) certification and First Aid are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care.
• Assist with organization and implementation of activity programs.

San Diego’s St. Paul\u2019s PACE program (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly).This innovative program is for individuals 55 years or older, who are living with chronic illness, or disabilities and need coordinated medical care to continue living as independently as possible in their home and community. The healthcare teams at St. Paul’s PACE provide a hands-on approach coordinating medical, social, and home care services so individuals no longer need to manage their medical care alone.

This is a full-time position in our Day Center. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Day Center Manager, responsible for providing and assisting participants of St. Paul’s PACE with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care. Assists with organization and implementation of activity program. Monitors health status and provides a safe environment for participants.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education:High school diploma or equivalent. Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the State of California (CNA) required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year’s of experience in working with the frail or elderly population required. Shall have either training or related experience in the job assigned.
• Current CPR (BLS) and First Aid from the American Heart Association is required.
