Amada Senior Care Northshore is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility support. You will provide companionship, monitor health changes, and help with meals and errands in a client-centered home setting.

The role emphasizes respectful communication, privacy under HIPAA, and adherence to safety guidelines while delivering reliable, empathetic care to seniors in the Deerfield area.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in caregiving or related field required (or equivalent).
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.
• Proficient caregiving techniques and safety procedures.
• Able to handle challenging behaviors professionally and calmly.
• Familiarity with home care systems and community resources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry as required.
• Escort clients to appointments and run errands as necessary.
• Monitor health status and report changes to supervisor promptly.

What you will be doing:Assisting clients with activities of daily living. Services may include, but are not limited to, activity of daily living support, personal care, bathing/toileting, medication reminding, light house-keeping, personal laundry, cooking, shopping, assistance in getting to and from appointments, maintenance of household records, and companionship.
