Job summary

Visiting Angels Columbus West seeks compassionate caregivers to help seniors remain safe and independent at home. You will choose your own days and times, with most shifts lasting 2 to 4 hours and pay starting at $15 per hour.

You can earn more with weekend or holiday shifts, and you are paid every Friday. A driver’s license, a car, and a smartphone are required to coordinate scheduling and notes for clients in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and help seniors stay safe at home.
• Prepare meals and assist with light cleaning.
• Remind to take medications and assist with bathing/dressing.
• Help with mobility and run errands as needed.
• Work flexible shifts, up to 40 hours per week.

Job description

Do you want a job that works around your life? At Visiting Angels, you help seniors stay safe at home. You pick your own days and times, and the shifts are short. This job is great if you want open hours, quick shifts, or a little extra money.

Pay and hours

• Base pay $15 - $17/hr. an hour, based on your experience
• Bonus hourly pay for weekend shifts, caring for couples, shorter shifts, and other shift types
• You pick your days and times
• Most shifts are just 2 to 4 hours
• Work as little or as much as you want, up to 40 hours a week
• Work any day of the week, most between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Earn more for weekends, holidays, and last-minute shifts
• Get paid every Friday

What you do

You help one person stay safe and happy at home. You might keep them company or cook a meal, do light cleaning, or remind them to take their medicine. You may help them walk around the house or run errands. Some seniors need help to bathe or get dressed.

What we look for

• You are kind, on time, and easy to work with
• You are okay working on your own
• You have an Ohio driver's license, a car, and car insurance
• You have a smartphone for your schedule and notes
• Care experience is a plus.

Where you work

You help seniors around Columbus. That includes Dublin, Westerville, Worthington, Upper Arlington, and Gahanna. We find clients close to your home.
