A Step Above Home Care is seeking a dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide compassionate, high-quality care in clients' homes. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, emotional support, and maintaining independence for clients.

A background check and drug screen are required, and a vehicle is necessary for this full-time position. The caregiver will support clients with ADLs, meal prep, mobility, memory care activities, and hospice support, while coordinating with healthcare

Qualifications

• Experience providing in-home care and assisting with daily living activities (ADLs).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must own/Have access to reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with memory care, hospice, and home health settings.
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes, focusing on individual needs.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, and medication management.
• Support mobility and perform light physical therapy exercises as guided.
• Engage clients with activities for mental and emotional well-being.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry; maintain clean, safe living spaces.
• Document progress and report changes to healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to company policies and privacy requirements; participate in training.

• Engage in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being, such as conversation, games, and outings
• Provide assistance with laundry and housekeeping tasks
• Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary
• Document client progress and report any changes in their condition
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans
• Provide hospice care and support to clients and their families
• Assist with memory care activities, such as memory games and sensory stimulation
• Support clients with assisted living and home health needs
• Stay current with industry developments and best practices
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

Skills:

• Experience with systems and home community care
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ADLs
• Ability to work with clients with varying levels of care needs, including those in memory care and hospice care
