Job summary

12 Oaks Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to provide resident services, including personal care, meal assistance, and participation in social and recreational activities. You will review service plans, follow infection control procedures, and respond promptly to the emergency call system to ensure residents' comfort and safety.

The role requires good English reading/writing, a cheerful attitude, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with in-service training and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Ability to organize time to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident services, including personal care, medication reminders, activities, meals, and related tasks.
• Adheres to dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
• Review resident Service Plans to stay familiar with needs and preferences.
• Review logs and notes daily for changes in health or needs.
• Provide personal services as assigned on Service Plans.
• Help residents with medications/treatments as allowed by regulation.
• Respond to emergency call system promptly.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment via housekeeping duties as needed.
• Assist with individual and group social/recreational activities and encourage participation.
• Monitor changes in needs/preferences/health and report/document changes.
• Respond to emergencies per training.
• Report abuse or suspected abuse to supervisor or agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Caregiver is responsible for providing resident services, including assistance with personal care, medication reminders, social and recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks as needed to facilitate the continued well-being of the resident.
