Job summary

Sevita, through NeuroRestorative’s PEDs Program, seeks a compassionate individual to train, assist, and supervise people with brain and spinal injuries in residential and community settings. The role includes daily activities support, transportation assistance, and collaboration with clinical staff to follow treatment plans.

Full-time, 40 hours/week with day, evening, and overnight shifts available; pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in human services preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in the resident state.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background checks must be cleared.
• Caring attitude with dedication to helping others.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, responsible and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in living skills and therapeutic recreation in residential and community settings.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal prep, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
• Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served; support community involvement with outings or transportation.
• Work closely with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans.

Job description

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

PEDs Program

40 hours/week - Full-time position available!!

Shift: Days (7 am - 3 pm)

Shift: Evenings (3 pm - 11 pm)

Shift: Overnights (11 pm - 7 am)

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Depending on experience!

• Provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals receiving care in living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other areas of support in both residential and community settings.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
• Facilitate the working relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings or providing transportation to work or other activities.
• Work closely with our clinical staff to support the existing therapeutic and behavioral plans.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Six months to one year of experience in the human services field
• Valid Driver's License from the state of residence
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Successful clearance of background checks
• A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach

After you are fully hired, you must attend a 5-day mandatory new staff orientation training. The training is scheduled from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Additionally, you will be required to take a 2-day Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) class.
