Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Beachwood, OH seeks reliable caregivers to provide compassionate, in-home nonmedical support to seniors. Roles include companion care and personal care following an established plan of care, with emphasis on dignity and safety.

Eligible candidates may hold STNA, HHA, CNA, DSP or Medical Assistant credentials, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Flexible full- and part-time hours with benefits are available.

Qualifications

• State-tested nurse aide certification or equivalent required.
• Ability to meet state background check requirements.
• One year of professional caregiver or home health aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nonmedical companion and personal care per the plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Support clients with skin care, toileting, feeding, and transfers.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisor.

Caregiver Job Description

Comfort Keepers Caregivers provide companion and personal care to our clients’ non-medical needs in accordance with an established plan of care. Some of these duties include skin care, ambulation, bathing, dressing, nail care, oral care, exercise, feeding, toileting, positioning, and transfers.

Job Requirements

The applicant must have one of the following certifications:

• STNA – State Tested Nurse Aide
• HHA – Home Health Aide
• CNA – Certified Nurse Assistant
• DSP – Direct Service Provider (worked under nurse supervision for 1 year)
• Medical Assistant
• Experience Private Caregiver
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a state background check. Federal background check required if you have not lived in the State of Ohio for the last 5 years.
• Must be 18 years of age
• One-year professional experience as a caregiver or home health aide
• Open Availability (ability to work various shifts, nights, or weekends)
