Home Instead is hiring part-time Caregivers in the Augusta area to support aging adults in-home. The role includes companionship, personal care, meal prep, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Flexible daytime and weekend shifts are available to fit your schedule, with full training provided and 24/7 office support for caregivers.

Experience is preferred but not required. A caring, respectful attitude is essential, as you help clients stay in the home they love.

• Ability to lift and/or assist with transferring clients as needed.
• Good communication with clients and family; friendly and respectful demeanor.
• Experience not required but preferred.

As aCaregiverwith Home Instead, you will provide Companionship, Home Helper Services, and Personal Care which could include:

• Companionship and conversation
• Providing stabilization and assistance with walking
• Preparing meals and cleaning up meal-related items
• Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders
• Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
• Washing and ironing laundry
• Running errands
• Accompanying clients to appointments
• Assisting with bathing, grooming anddressing
• Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer's Care.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
• Ability to consistently provide physical assistance to a client (i.e. stand-by assistance while walking, assist client with transfers)
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen
• Possess a valid driver's license, and have access to a reliable vehicle which will remain with you at your shift with valid auto insurance
• Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

A preferred candidate would be flexible in the number of hours needed per week as this is a part-time position. Experience is preferred but not required.
