Job summary

Visiting Angels Montgomery is seeking caring caregivers to support seniors across Central Alabama, including Auburn and surrounding areas. You will provide compassionate in-home care and companionship, helping with daily tasks and mobility while improving quality of life.

Caregivers may receive advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and will work closely with families to tailor support to individual needs. This on-site role offers meaningful community impact.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications as needed.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around the home and on outings.
• Provide personal care and hygiene support as required.
• Support routine exercise and mobility activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input when possible.
• Shop for or accompany clients during shopping trips.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide a pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Report unusual incidents promptly.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements
