Job summary

Personal Care Services Midsouth, LLC is seeking a caring Home Health Aide to provide in-home support and companionship, promoting independence and safety for clients in their own homes.

You will perform personal care, meal prep, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and documentation while maintaining HIPAA and privacy standards. Comprehensive training is offered to help you succeed. The role also offers flexible scheduling and ongoing support from a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a Criminal background check.
• TB Skin Test required.
• Minimum 1 year of home health care experience preferred.
• High School diploma obtained.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal preparation: prepare meals per dietary needs.
• Mobility assistance: help clients move safely at home or between locations.
• Household tasks: light housekeeping, laundry, cleaning, organizing.
• Companionship: provide emotional support and engage clients in activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Personal care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Mobility assistance: Help clients move safely within their homes or between locations, including transferring from beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles.
• Household tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities, such as conversation, hobbies, or light exercise.
• Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients' physical or mental health to family members or supervisors promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and daily activities

Required Skills and Experience

• Maintain punctuality by arriving on time for all scheduled shifts and provide accurate documentation of daily care activities in client records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and their families.
• Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and other physical tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrate reliability by consistently arriving on time and completing assigned tasks with precision.
• Exhibit adaptability and problem-solving skills to address clients' evolving needs.

• Ability to use a mobile device for clocking in/out and service documentations.
