Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of Sevita, is hiring caregivers in Abbeville, MS to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community settings. Pay is $12 an hour; you’ll join a mission-driven team and build meaningful relationships while helping participants grow and live well.

You’ll assist with daily living, personal hygiene, and community participation; develop skills like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition; maintain safety with compassion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals with developmental goals.
• Help participants participate in the community and maintain activities they enjoy.
• Build real relationships and support participants to grow and live well.
• Be patient, compassionate and reliable in daily care tasks.
• Follow safety and behavioral guidelines and communicate with supervisors.
