Job summary

FirstLight Home Care of Morristown and Wayne is looking for compassionate Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to deliver personalized, non-medical care to clients in their homes, significantly impacting their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medication reminders, and providing companionship. The role offers flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time options. Ideal candidates are empathetic, patient, and hold a high school diploma or GED, with prior caregiving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Possession of state-required certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License with adequate auto insurance, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, non-medical care that aligns with clients' Service Plan/Care Plan.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.

Shift Options

Position Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, non-medical care that aligns with clients' Service Plan/Care Plan
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Provide companion care activities such as conversation, light housekeeping, meal planning, preparation, and more
• Provide medication reminders
• Monitor, record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to the supervisor
• Utilize our Time Management system for Clock-in/Clock-out and document completed tasks in accordance with company policies
• Stay updated with our relevant changing technology
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and evaluations
• Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures

Position Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous caregiving experience (preferred)
• Possession of state-required certifications
• Valid Driver’s License with adequate auto insurance, if applicable
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
