Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Centennial Job Corps Center in Nampa, ID. We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee safety, security, residential living, transportation and recreation programs, ensuring compliance with government and management directives.

The role requires a post-secondary degree and 3 years in related work, including 2 in supervision. Strong communication, youth experience, and a valid driver's license are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety & security, residential living, transportation and recreation programs.
• Plan, coordinate and direct administration and program activities of the directorate.
• Provide staff training and evaluate performance; implement personnel changes as approved by the center director.
• Develop and implement policies affecting campus safety, living, recreation and transportation directorate; coordinate with other departments.
• Monitor schedules and direct work assignments; manage center-sponsored recreation activities.

What you will be doing

You’ll be responsible for a variety of functions related to safety & security, residential living, transportation and recreation programs in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions

• Plan, coordinate and direct the administration and programmatic activities of the directorate


• Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement department and personnel changes as approved by the center director and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementation


• Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the campus safety and security, residential living, recreation, student leadership and transportation directorate; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall center objectives


• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports


• Provide staff training, both group and individual, in all areas affecting the community life directorate.


• Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.


• Assist in the development of community linkages and volunteer opportunities for students; coordinate with other staff and local community resources in the provision of services to students.


• Monitor shift schedules; plan and direct work assignments and schedules of activities. Manage the scheduling and operation of center-sponsored recreation activities and programs.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Post secondary degree and three years related experience, two (2) of which should be in a supervisory capacity.


• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and computer proficiency required.


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
