You will instruct foundational courses designed to prepare students for academic and clinical success:
Instruction & Course Delivery:
Lesson Execution: Design and deliver lesson plans in foundation subjects using varied teaching techniques that appeal to different learning styles.
Objective Planning: Plan instruction to achieve specific learning objectives based on student needs and established curriculum standards.
Feedback & Grading: Evaluate and grade students' classwork, assignments, and practical tests within 72 hours.
Academic Support: Maintain scheduled face‑to‑face office hours to advise, assist, and remediate students.
Early Intervention: Discuss academic or behavioral issues with students as they arise and alert campus leadership (Assistant Dean of Faculty/Student Services Coordinator).
Externship Oversight: May participate in the supervision of students' externship experiences as assigned.
Departmental & Administrative Support:
Documentation: Complete required student records, attendance tracking, incident reports, and early alert logs.
Enrichment: Arrange and coordinate guest speakers, community service field trips, and visits to local healthcare facilities.
Faculty Engagement: Participate in faculty meetings, advisory board meetings, in‑service workshops, and campus graduations.
Education & Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program recognized by USDE or CHEA in the subject field AND three (3) years of occupational (practical) experience in the subject area.
OR
A minimum of four (4) years of job‑related training and experience for non‑accredited program graduates.
Core Subject Knowledge: Documented knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology through post‑secondary education or practical job experience.
Equivalent Qualification: Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that satisfies the minimum requirements.
Technical & Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years of prior teaching experience in the subject field.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
None (Teaching license is NOT required).
Hiring Range: $24.96 to $29.96 per hour.
Schedule: Part‑Time Evening Schedule (8‑10 hours per week).
