Job summary

الفرصالوظيفية is seeking a Refractory Operator for our Steel Making Plant (Ladle & Refractory section). The role reports to the Supervisor, Refractory, and involves carrying out refractory activities in line with Loss Control procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting the shift supervisor, starting up and shutting down jobs, maintaining routine operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards are followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Matriculation or Equivalant required.
• Experience in brick laying and Ladle preparation in steel plant environment.
• 3+ years in refractory section; strong unit operation knowledge.
• Good problem solving ability and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards under Loss Control Program.
• Carry-out activities in accordance with operations and refractory.
• Execute operational activities planned by shift supervisor.
• Follow guidelines and instructions issued by the Unit Superintendent.
• Maintain housekeeping in the area before leaving the workplace.
• Identify and report equipment abnormalities to shift supervisor.
• Comply with ISO 9001 procedures and maintain awareness.
• Prepare and secure area before hand-over to maintenance.
• Develop and maintain good industrial relations at all times

Job description

Refractory Operator

We are looking for Ladle &Refractory Operator wh for our Steel Making Plant(Ladle& Refractory section )who will report directly to Supervisor, Refractory.

Summary:

• Carryout operational/refractory activities in compliance to Loss Control Procedures.
• Assists shift supervisor in carrying out operational/refractory workload.
• Executes start-up and shutdown jobs, maintain normal operating routines jobs, as directed by his Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with safety standards under Loss Control Program.
• Carry-out activities in accordance with operations and refractory, and while maintaining high level of competence in the job..
• Executes operational activities planned by the shift supervisor.
• Follow guidelines and instruction issued by the Unit Superintendent,
• Carryout housekeeping in the area before leaving the work place.
• Identify and report to shift ervissupor regarding equipment that shows signs of abnormality.
• Comply with ISO 9001 procedures and maintain awareness,
• Prepare and secure the area or equipment before hand-over to maintenance for requested repair or PM’s.
• Develop and maintain good industrial relation at all times

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Matriculation or Equivalant
• Familiar working within Steel Plant environment with experience in brick laying and Ladle preparation activities.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in refractory section
• A thorough knowledge of unit operation
• A significant level of problem solving ability
• Physically fit for the job,ability to work in hot environments
• An understanding of loss control management
• Good working relation
• An acceptable level of confidence in communicating ideas
