Area Community Services Employment & Training Council (ACSET) seeks a Career Navigator in Grand Rapids for a full-time role. You will greet participants, guide them through career exploration and job search strategies, and coordinate with Michigan Works!

services and resources. Position offers a pay range of $35,085 to $49,107 annually plus fringe benefits including healthcare, retirement with match, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, and vacation time.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Proficient typing and data entry.
• Analytical skills to identify problems and solutions.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling participant data.

Responsibilities

• Orient participants to the Michigan Works! System and available services.
• Introduce PMTC features to job seekers and employers.
• Assist data entry for Profile Records and attach resumes.
• Help job seekers locate opportunities on PMTC and other sites.
• Verify UI registrations on PMTC and submit required evidence.
• Assist in developing resumes using standard formats and tools.
• Explain the Federal Bonding Program and help obtain a bond.
• Explain UI student waiver processes and determine eligibility.
• Assist in career exploration and job search planning.
• Enter data and reconcile results using reports and databases.
• Refer participants to Michigan Works! programs and events.
• Create displays and exhibits highlighting career opportunities.
• Represent Michigan Works! at career fairs and events.
• Provide labor market information about pay and career ladders.
