Job summary

TrinityRail is hiring a Career Mobile Equipment Operator at our Cartersville, GA plant. The role involves moving materials and finished goods using lift trucks, cranes, and other mobile equipment, with duties spanning processing, receiving, recording, storing, and shipping.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience in manufacturing, be able to work day or night shifts with overtime, and maintain safe operations including standing and walking throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy mobile equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work day or night shift and overtime.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently, and at times consistently, throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Process, receive, record, store, and/or ship raw materials and finished goods.
• Operate mobile equipment to move materials between warehouse and manufacturing facilities.
• May use computer software to identify materials, ensure PO accuracy, and maintain inventory.
• Operate lift trucks, overhead cranes, yard vehicles, and other equipment to move materials and products.
• Ensure proper identification of parts and materials.
• Follow safety rules and participate in safety initiatives.

TheCareer Mobile Equipment Operatorposition is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. In this position you will perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/or shipping of raw materials/finished goods. Operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities. May utilize computer software to identify materials/goods, ensure accuracy of purchase orders and maintain inventory.

In this role, the Mobile Equipment Operator:

Operates mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations.

• Ensures proper identification of parts and materials.
• Can operate a lift truck with over 15,000-pound capacity
• Overhead crane (stationary) certified (move across plant)
• May operate mobile crane (move across yard)
• Operates multiple pieces of mobile equipment including lift trucks with greater than 55K pound capacity
• Follows all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
