Responsibilities

• Perform shop order-picking in the assigned warehouse area.
• Utilize the ERP system (BPCS/LX) to perform inventory transactions and inquiries, including use of mobile barcode devices.
• Optimize storage locations based on part velocity and volume policies.
• Operate forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks to move material.
• Maintain accurate stock counts, locations, and product IDs in assigned areas.
• Rearrange material as directed for optimization and initiate/maintain applicable paperwork.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.

In this role, the Material Handler performs shop order-picking away activities associated with an assigned warehouse area.

Utilizes the ERP system (BPCS/LX) to perform inventory transactions and inquiries, including the use of mobile barcode devices

Optimizes storage locations based on part velocity and volume policies .

• Acts as backup for multiple areas when required
• Operates mobile equipment, such as forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks, to move material
• Assures that material counts are accurately reflected in the system and that material is stored according to defined policies and procedures
• Able to identify part types and methods of storage associated with assigned area
• Performs put-away and picking functions utilizing BPCS barcode devices
• Maintains accurate stock counts, locations, and product IDs in assigned areas
• Rearrange material as directed for optimization
• Initiates and maintains all applicable paperwork as required
• Follows all safety rules and practices.

May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Performing inventory problem troubleshooting and correction
