Job summary

KinderCare in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to model best practices, mentor peers, and implement our curriculum while tailoring activities to each child’s needs. You will create a safe, nurturing environment, partner with families, and collaborate with center staff to support enrollment, accreditation, and ongoing engagement.

Required credentials include a CDA or NAEYC candidacy, CPR/First Aid, and strong English communication; a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer preferred.
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.
• Commitment to safety and quality early childhood education.

• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements

• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
