# **Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College**## **Career Development Specialist Opportunity**Tallahassee State College is thrilled to announce a **full-time** **grant-funded** opening for the position of **Career Development Specialist, Arcadia, FL – P07815** with **DOC – DeSoto Correctional Institution Annex**. Please ensure that the location you select is within the vicinity or the location you desire.****What You’ll Do** As a Career Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:* Facilitating employability and life skills, administration and interpretation of assessments, and training to include the Compass 100 hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change.* Providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator. Providing facilitation of employability and life skills programs. Providing administration and interpretation of assessments.* Providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid through a small group setting to eligible participants who are not in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator and other programs as determined by the Department. Providing facilitation of pre-release connections with community providers and employers through face-to-face and technology-based interactions to include pre-release job search, recruitment, and placement activities.* Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments and completions on the Department of Corrections approved format. Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.**Who We’re Looking For** We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.
