OIC of Washington seeks a Career Counselor 2 to support statewide program success within Education and Career Services. The role focuses on counseling, education, employment preparation, and job development for adults and migrants, under the Program Manager.

The incumbent will conduct assessments, provide job search guidance, and coordinate services to reduce barriers. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this fast-paced, client-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in a professional office setting with high call volumes and public contact.
• Strong ability to work independently and in teams.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Zoom and MS Teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping abilities.

Responsabilités

• Keep Program Manager apprised of progress toward monthly/annual goals.
• Complete career counseling cohort objectives and report timely.
• Provide intake interviews to determine eligibility for services.
• Enroll eligible participants into program services and document required paperwork.
• Refer ineligible individuals to appropriate providers and maintain referrals.
• Assess skills, aptitudes, and career goals and develop Individual Employment Plans.
• Maintain comprehensive participant files and ensure contract compliance.
• Establish professional relationships with clients, businesses, and partners to meet program goals.
