  • Build relationships with employers and industry professionals to create networking opportunities.
  • Attend staff meetings and bi-weekly reports to the Admissions Coordinator.
  • Maintain databases and file upkeep.

  • Career Development Guidance: Providing career development guidance for clients with an emphasis on healthcare, technology skills, and advanced manufacturing
  • Student Recruitment: Planning and implementing student recruitment activities for technical programs
  • Career Exploration: Assisting prospective clients with career exploration activities and career assessments
  • Workshops and Seminars: Conducting workshops or seminars on career development topics such as job hunting, career transitioning, and personal branding
  • Networking: Building relationships with employers and industry professionals to facilitate networking opportunities for clients
  • Other duties as assigned.
POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide career development guidance for clients with an emphasis on healthcare and/or manufacturing.

Essential Tasks
  • Career Development Guidance: Providing career development guidance for clients with an emphasis on healthcare, technology skills, and advanced manufacturing
  • Student Recruitment: Planning and implementing student recruitment activities for technical programs
  • Career Exploration: Assisting prospective clients with career exploration activities and career assessments
  • Workshops and Seminars: Conducting workshops or seminars on career development topics such as job hunting, career transitioning, and personal branding
  • Networking: Building relationships with employers and industry professionals to facilitate networking opportunities for clients
  • Other duties as assigned.
Accountability
  • Will participate in all staff meetings
  • Will send bi-weekly report to Admissions Coordinator
  • Responsible for the upkeep of database
  • Responsible for upkeep of files
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience: Recent experience working with students and career exploration as well as possibly with business and industry, mentor training, and/or student placement in job sites.

  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered

COMPUTER SKILLS: Experience in MS Office Word, Excel, Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a mentoring/advising role.
  • Must be comfortable with speaking and communicating advice, ideas, and feedback.
  • Ability to recognize weaknesses and develop plans to aid in personal and career growth.
  • Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Central Ohio is highly recommended
Special Requirements
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that could include some evenings and weekends
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
