Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate is required.
• Louisiana Certification as a School Counselor is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement a comprehensive counseling program as measured by the Louisiana Counseling Performance Evaluation Rubric and district policy.
• Support students in meeting academic and behavioral expectations.
• Provide support for students facing academic and/or behavioral challenges; assist students with setting and achieving goals.
• Develop annual calendar of recurring guidance activities.
• Coordinate administration of educational and vocational testing conducted in the school.
• Compile or support the compilation of assessment data to assist staff in instructional planning.
• Interpret test scores for students, parents, and teachers.
• Provide individual and small group counseling to facilitate personal and social growth.
