Lorain County Community College is seeking a Career and Academic Advisement Professional to join our Business Growth Services – Workforce team.

This role is key to advancing the College’s strategic goals in workforce development by providing comprehensive student advisement, driving recruitment and marketing efforts, and supporting grant-funded initiatives that foster economic and talent growth across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic academic and career advising to a diverse population of students, including adult learners, apprentices, and out-of-school youth.
• Lead and support recruitment and outreach initiatives that promote LCCC’s workforce programs.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry leaders, and workforce partners to align training programs with local labor market needs.
• Contribute to development and implementation of grant-funded projects that support business and talent development.
• Collect, manage, and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders in initiatives that drive talent pipeline development and business growth.
• Represent LCCC at community events, advisory councils, and industry partnerships.
