East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Multi-Care Tech responsible for providing safe therapeutic care in collaboration with nurses and physicians. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, mobility, and basic wound care while adhering to standards and protocols to improve outcomes.

On-the-job training will be provided, including phlebotomy and BLS, with a focus on teamwork and patient education throughout the care continuum.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or 10 years of relevant experience.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
• EAH provides on-the-job training: medical terminology, phlebotomy clinical, BLS, and 1-on-1 training with an MCT.

Aufgaben

• Obtaining Blood Glucose readings.
• Helping patient with mealtime feedings.
• Bathing.
• Patient restroom assistance and cleaning.
• Ambulation of the patient.
• Grooming.
• Lifting, turning, and repositioning of patients in beds and chairs.
• Blood draws for patient labs.
• Collaborating with nurses, MDs, and other patient care specialties.
• Emptying and obtaining wound or surgical drain output.
• Wound or surgical incision site dressing changes.
