Job summary

Journey Found is seeking a Direct Support Specialist to assist individuals in our group homes with daily living tasks, transportation, and community activities. The role includes documenting program data and supporting medication administration in collaboration with nurses and supervisors.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, 3 years of driving experience, and willingness to obtain PMT/CPR/FA and MAP training. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Must have at least 3 years driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
• Behavioral Management experience or formal training is preferred.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• PMT, CPR, FA and DDS Medication Administration Program (MAP) training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (dressing, cooking, cleaning, bathing, toileting).
• Transporting people and accompanying to appointments and activities.
• Organize activities and community outings, document program data.
• Medication administration and coordination with nurses and clinical staff.
• Deescalate situations and manage behaviors within a team setting.
