Job summary

Providencia is seeking a CARE Specialist to perform direct communication and documentation in support of service delivery. This role demands professionalism, sound judgement, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to handle sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling inbound/outbound communications, gathering and updating information to standards, maintaining confidential records, escalating issues, and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or HS diploma with two+ years relevant experience.
  • Minimum two years documented experience in child welfare, case management, call-centre operations, or working with vulnerable populations; four years required when substituting a high school diploma.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Preferred: safety or well-being screenings, welfare checks, or crisis assessments.
  • Familiarity with call-centre operations, related case-management software, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office with a typing speed of 55 words per minute.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and difficult situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize work under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn internal company systems and work a rotating shift schedule.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications


  • Associate degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college, or a high school diploma with at least two additional years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of two years documented experience in child welfare, case management, call‑center operations, or working with vulnerable populations; four years required when substituting a high school diploma.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Preferred experience conducting safety or well‑being screenings, welfare checks, or crisis assessments.

  • Preferred familiarity with call‑center operations, related case‑management software, and trauma‑informed care principles.

Work Schedule & Physical Demands


  • Monday–Friday, 6am–8pm MST; Saturday, 8am–5pm MST.

  • Physical demands: standing, walking, mobility to attend meetings; climbing, stooping, kneeling up to 10% of the time; lifting/pulling/pushing up to 10% of the time; rigorous use of writing, typing, and a telephone system 100% of the time; prolonged sitting.



Background and Clearance Requirements


  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation, drug screen, and a favorable credit check.

  • May be required to obtain or maintain a security clearance.

  • US citizenship or permanent residency may be required, depending on the program.
