Job summary

Oakmont of Burlingame is hiring a Care Provider to assist residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate, respectful care on a daily basis. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and effective communication with residents and staff.

Our care team works as part of a larger senior living community that values authenticity, teamwork, and commitment to residents. Training is provided, and benefits support long-term service and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, and residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as per care plans.
• Respond promptly to residents’ needs while protecting dignity and confidentiality.
• Notify supervisor of any observed changes in residents’ condition.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
