Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Care Partner to assist with patient care and serve as the unit receptionist. Responsibilities include vital signs, documentation in the EMR, and clerical support for admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Care Partner/CNA preferred) and at least one year of healthcare experience. Current BLS certification within 90 days is required. This is an on-site, full-time position within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in providing patient care and act as unit receptionist with clerical duties.
• Record vital signs, input/output, and activities of daily living in the electronic medical record.
• Collect, transport, and deliver lab specimens per policy; notify nurse of changes in patient condition.
• Maintain stock of supplies and equipment at patient rooms, med room, and bedside emergency supplies.
• Process orders in the electronic medical record and coordinate scheduling of diagnostic services.
