Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Naples, FL is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, and administer medications in a safe, home-like setting.

Shifts are 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm at Aston Gardens, 4800 Aston Gardens Way, Naples. Compensation starts at $16/hour with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Discovery Senior Living.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments per the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting and reporting concerns promptly.
• Monitor resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems; communicate care needs to the team.

Care Giver/Medication Technician

As the Care Giver/Medication Technician, your role includes providing hands‑on care, administering medications, and offering physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home‑like environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well‑being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
