Job summary

Discovery Senior Living's Aston Gardens at Pelican Marsh in Naples, FL is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to provide hands-on care and administer medications in a home-like setting.

You will support residents with daily activities, observe health changes, document care, and collaborate with the care team. This is a full-time role with a 7a-3p, 3p-11p, or 11p-7a schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with daily living activities.
• Administer and observe medications following Six Rights of Medication Pass and document accurately.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes to the team promptly.
• Engage residents in enrichment activities to support well-being.

Your Role

As the Care Giver/Medication Technician, your role includes providing hands-on care, administering medications, and offering physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

• Rate of Pay: $16.00

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment
