Job summary

A leading health services provider in Kentucky is seeking caregivers who can assist with personal care tasks, such as hygiene, feeding, and medical monitoring. The ideal candidates should be dependable and physically capable of safely moving clients. Experience with a Hoyer lift is preferred but not essential. This role is vital in fostering positive relationships and maintaining client safety within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of safely moving or changing bed linens of patients unable to move themselves.
• Experience with a Hoyer lift is preferred, but not required.
• Dependability is a must; callouts will not be tolerated.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, and medical monitoring.
• Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates.
• Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
• Encourage self-help activities and assist with self-administration of medications.
• Document services provided and perform light housekeeping.

We are currently seeking caregivers who have the below experience and skill sets:

• Physically capable of safely moving/changing bed linens of patients unable to move themselves
• Experience with Hoyer lift is preferred, but not required
• Experience with ambulating patients
• Must be dependable - call outs will not be tolerated

As a caregiver you will perform personal care tasks including:

• Assistance with personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
• Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
• Reminding/assisting client with self-administration of medications (with proper training)
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Reporting changes in client\'s condition or family situation to the office
• Documenting services provided
• Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
• Planning meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up
• Accompanying client to scheduled appointments
• Transporting clients or running errands for clients
