Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment in a long-term care facility in Norfolk, VA. The position offers starting pay of USD $12.77 per hour and a benefits package.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, sanitation, record-keeping, infection control, and positive interaction with residents and staff. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and workload flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks in resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas and offices.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation following procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to ensure sanitary environments.
• Interact positively with residents, staff and guests, delivering good service.
• All other duties as assigned.
