Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails and surfaces to remove dust and debris.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and use chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
• Operate cleaning equipment and keep carts and storage areas organized.
• Report resident safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Administrator.
