New technicians complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and meet all licensing requirements as per state guidelines. The position emphasizes patient care, accuracy and adherence to laws and policies across locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to obtain state licensure as required.
• Excellent customer service orientation with strong communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and calculate days’ supply of prescriptions.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and safety in dispensing medications.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with prescriptions and medication-related questions to ensure a positive pharmacy experience.
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications while adhering to regulatory and company standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate, professional service to patients and caregivers.
• Support ongoing CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and professional development.
