Job summary

Walgreens in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the center of patient care. You will interact with customers, support pharmacists, and learn through an ASHP-endorsed apprenticeship that guides you toward PTCB certification and expanded clinical skills.

You will use pharmacy systems to handle patient data, process prescriptions, and assist with inventory and front-end duties.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing medications and processing prescriptions.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; support cashier operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers find products.
• Maintain accuracy in filling prescriptions and checking for interactions.
• Support inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Assist with clinical services as needed and cooperate with healthcare providers.
