Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction

• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment; multi-tasking under strict deadlines

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and quickly
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy
• Complete prescriptions assigned for processing within shift
• Coordinate with doctors' offices on refills
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and order processing as needed
• Meet delivery deadlines and maintain data entry records
• Other duties as assigned
