Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience in lieu of high school diploma
• Three to five years in a healthcare setting preferred; computer skills required; bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire and annual Medical Assistant competency training

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for provider exams across departments (Cancer Center, Endocrinology, Pain Management, etc.) and take vital signs.
• Record patient history, assist in office procedures, and administer treatments as ordered.
• Maintain and transport specimens to the lab and support referral processes for timely follow-up appointments.
• Perform general administrative duties (scanning, filing, phones, etc.) and assist with patient flow and transport.
