Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a friendly medical front desk specialist to join our Scottsdale clinic. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and prepare chart encounters to support physicians and care teams.

In this role you will greet patients, schedule appointments, enter orders, maintain confidentiality, and coordinate with providers to ensure a smooth patient experience. 1-2 years in a medical setting and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a medical setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Passionate about delivering superior patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in EMR prior to scheduling.
• Ensures access to initial consultations and notes for physicians.
• Opens chart encounters in AthenaOne.
• Greets and rooms patients.
• Takes vitals and records assessments.
• Schedules follow-ups and manages referrals.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Coordinates with scheduling, billing, and care teams.
