Job summary

Little Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for residents. You will follow director-guided instructions, perform safe cleaning, and ensure odor-free, orderly units while supporting residents and families with compassionate service.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and be able to read, write, and understand English; strong physical condition and teamwork are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the director of environmental services.
• Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner.
• Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit.
• Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use.
• Assists with room changes, as needed.
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
• Performs other duties as requested.
