Job summary

ACC Care Center in Sacramento, CA is looking for an hourly Housekeeper to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for residents. You may assist with laundry and provide excellent service to staff, residents and families.

Reports to the Plant Operations Manager and collaborates with the Administrator on daily operations. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, disinfecting medical items, maintaining dining areas, and following strict infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year housekeeping experience in skilled nursing facility preferred.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Infection control training per healthcare setting within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facilities in a sanitary, infection-free condition by cleaning and replacing equipment.
• Operates cleaning equipment such as vacuums and polishers and cleans floors and edges.
• Disinfects medical equipment and therapy areas following protocols.
• Sanitizes dining areas and ensures proper table and floor cleanliness.
• Interacts with residents respectfully while keeping environment clean and safe.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and PPE usage.
• Disposes trash and recyclables; completes daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
• Assists with laundry duties and handling of linens.
