Job summary

Senior Lifestyle's Aspired Living of La Grange is hiring a compassionate aide to assist residents in the Assisted Living Program with daily activities, medication reminders, grooming, bathing, dressing, and mobility support. You will help residents maintain dignity and independence while following care schedules.

Candidates should have at least one year in senior care, English proficiency, basic computer skills, and may need a CNA or CHHA license depending on state.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English for duties and emergencies.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders and escort services as needed.
• Follow the resident schedule set by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily logs of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage independence and dignity of residents.

Job Description

• Pay starts at $18.50 per hour
• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

Qualifications

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
