Job summary

Avery Water care home within the Avery Healthcare Group is recruiting a Care Assistant to support residents with personal care and daily living tasks. No prior experience is required as induction and training are provided, and a DBS check along with proof of right to work in the UK are required.

You will work as part of a compassionate team, ensuring residents’ independence, dignity and safety, while monitoring for signs of risk and escalating concerns promptly within a supportive home

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services
• Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, promoting independence, dignity and respect
• Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and escalate identified risks promptly
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
• Follow safe systems of work across the range of tasks

Job description

This Care Assistant post is at Virginia Water Care Home, part of the Avery Healthcare Group care home network. The work centres on personal care for residents, protecting their independence and dignity and spotting early warning signs such as falls, pressure sores and infection so they can be escalated quickly. No experience is needed, as induction and training are provided, but the role calls for flexibility to cover a range of tasks at short notice. A DBS check and proof of right to work are required.
