Job Details

Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD

Position: Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (CVRT) in the Cath Lab

Schedule:

• 10-hour shifts
• Monday - Friday
• 13-week contract

Pay Range: $75-$85 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures in Radiology, including interventional angiographic, diagnostic, and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of equipment, including patient monitoring devices.
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Select catheters and guide wires, prepare contrast material with a power injector.
• Set up the procedure room with necessary equipment and films.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and obtain preliminary films.
• Process and assemble films for interpretation.
• Follow radiation safety procedures for staff and patients.
• Record vital signs and perform basic nursing functions.
• Identify arrhythmias and notify physicians.
• Accurately identify films by anatomical site and patient identity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program
• Radiologic Technologist License in Maryland and ARRT certification, or RCIS certification in lieu of license and ARRT
• Current BLS CPR certification
