Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Cardiovascular Tech for the Cath Lab. This per diem, day-shift role supports physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-R/RCIS licensed, has cardiovascular lab experience, BCLS and ACLS within 30 days, and strong computer skills. Per diem schedule offers flexibility and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R and RCIS/licensure as required by State.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic/therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Ensure the procedure room is prepared for the procedure.
• Monitor par level of instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities; train new staff.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Per Diem l Day Shift

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required. 2. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred. 3. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred. 4. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current. 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire. 6. Proficient computer skills.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $34.50 to $38.25 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
