Job summary

CaroMont Health in Gastonia, NC seeks an experienced CVT to support the Cardiac Cath Lab and Hybrid OR, assisting the cardiologist during intra-procedural steps, preparing patients, and positioning for procedures. You will operate radiographic equipment, scrub, circulate, monitor, and record hemodynamic parameters per policy.

The role requires corporate and department skill validations and ongoing competency maintenance, with opportunities to advance to higher specialty areas as skills validate.

Qualifications

Job Summary

To perform diversified duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Hybrid OR, assisting the cardiologist intra-procedurally, including preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy. Must successfully complete corporate and department-specificskill validations and maintain core competencies.

Core Competencies:

• The CVT will be competent to monitor and scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, intermediate and complex interventional cardiac procedures, STEMI, diagnostic and interventional arteriograms.
• Responsibilities also include STEMI on-call team coverage and precepting new or existing employees.
• The CVT Staff may progress to CVT Intermediate by completing skill validations and maintaining competencies to monitor and scrub 2 of 5 Additional Specialty Areas.
• The CVT Staff may progress to CVT Advanced by completing skill validations and maintaining competencies to monitor and scrub 4 of 5 Additional Specialty Areas.Additional Specialty Areas**:
