Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist for a full-time role in Florida. The candidate will work under general supervision, preparing and operating equipment and assisting physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

The position requires Florida registration as a radiologic technician, an associate degree or equivalent, BLS, ACLS (within 60 days of start), and ARRT registry or cardiovascular invasive specialist credential;

Qualifications

• 1 year of vascular or cardiac cath lab tech experience required.
• Florida State registered radiologic technician.
• ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Registered radiographer (ARRT) registry or registered cardiovascular invasive specialist credential required.
• Basic cardiac life support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, prepares, operates equipment and assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. Performs hemodynamic monitoring and other duties as assigned.
• Performs radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature to demonstrate cardiac and vascular patency in a variety of anatomical parts.
• Recognizes the importance of supporting the team in general care of the patient and family member.
• Supports general efficient function of the lab by assisting in transporting patients to or from the Lab.

Education

Associate degree or equivalent in radiological technology

Florida State registered radiologic technician

ARRT registry or registered cardiovascular invasive specialist credential

Basic cardiac life support (BLS) certification

Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
