Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform interventional cardiac imaging and support procedures across multiple care areas.

Successful candidates will bring ARRT radiography and one of several cardiac specialties, with BLS/ACLS requirements and a commitment to patient safety in a fast-paced Cath Lab team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required at hire.
• KY radiographer registration required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required at hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) required at hire.
• One of: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardioac Sonographer.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support under supervision and operate/maintain imaging systems.
• Respond to the initiation, maintenance or troubleshooting of cardiac systems across OR/ICU/Cath Lab/EP/IR/ER.
• Assist with patient transport during procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and storage of equipment.
• Complete departmental documentation for records and charges.
• Communicate critical activities to Manager/Coordinator to coordinate staffing.

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical support as needed. With the guidance of the Coordinator, Manager, Director or Provider, assist physicians , Nurses, and Rad Techs. Operate and maintain the systems under the direction of a physician or licensed person.


• Respond rapidly to the need for the initiation, maintenance or troubleshooting of all cardiac systems in the OR, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, EP, IR, and ER.


• Assist with the transport of patients receiving support and procedures away from the patient’s room.


• Maintain cleanliness and storage of all equipment.


• Completes departmental documentation for record keeping and patient charges.


• Communicates with the Manager or Coordinator all critical department activities to allow for the proper coordination of activities and personnel resources.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required within 90 days of hire

Pay Range

$27.97 - $41.60 /hour
